In 1965, Melvin Blitzny was sent a Spy Training Kit which included a Tape Recorder, a UNITY Field Manual and a telephone monitoring device. Blitzny used the Tape Recorder to start an audio diary of his training to become superspy, Tom Goodman. In 1968, Archer found several tapes of this audio recording in Blitzny's house in Akron, Ohio. H.A.R.M. used voice activated security system in certain areas of the H.A.R.M. Underwater Base located in the Aegean Sea. Sometimes these locks would not take voice commands if they were not in the correct tone and pitch. Ensign Third-Class Cornelius Fitchpins discovered that using a Tape Recorder to record his voice at the correct pitch would allow him access to the living quarters area so he could sleep in the proper location. Later Archer found this Tape Recorder and used it to gain access to the lower levels of the base.
