Dr. Otto M. Schenker is a brilliant German Biophysicist who was the brains behind the human time bomb project being developed at the STASI Records and Research Facility located in Berlin. While this research was being performed, Dr. Shenker's wife was killed in an explosion. This death was not made public.
The Operative: No One Lives Forever[]
After a colleague filled his head about stories of the west, Dr. Shenker decides to defect from East Germany. He reached out to UNITY which sent Cate Archer on a mission to assist in his escape. Unbeknownst to the both of them, this was part of a kidnapping plot by H.A.R.M. so that they can gain access to the bio-weapon research for their own uses. On a flight back to London, H.A.R.M. Paratroopers performed a mid-air attack on the UNITY airplane taking the doctor into their custody. Dr. Schenker sees Agent Archer fall out of the airplane and believes that she was killed.
Dr. Schenker is taken to the H.A.R.M. North American facility hidden behind the Dumas Lumber Company in the state of Washington. There he learned the truth behind H.A.R.M.'s plans and how they were developing the antidote at the H.A.R.M. Space Station in outer space. Luckily, Archer was able to track down the secret facility and assist in Dr. Shenker's escape back to England. There he is able to inform Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones of H.A.R.M.'s nefarious plans and offers to assist UNITY in their fight. He later assists in confirming that the antidote sample obtained by Archer was viable.
No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way[]
In 1968, Dr. Schenker is now the chief scientist for UNITY. He also is looking out for the health of Archer after her near death experience at the hands of the ninja Isako in Japan. After another fight in a tornado in Akron, Ohio, Dr. Schenker assisted in Archer's recovery insisting that she must rest. When Archer recovers plans on the H.A.R.M. Super Soldiers and delivers them to Dr. Schenker, Pierre the Mime King and his mime assassins attack UNITY Headquarters. Dr. Schenker found a hiding spot during the attack and had to be found by Agent Archer. Utilizing the information delivered to him, Dr. Schenker was able to develop the Anti-Super Soldier Serum that could be delivered by the CT-180 Utility Launcher. This serum boiled the innards of the super soldiers.
Education[]
On March 5, 1929, Otto Schenker graduated from the University of Hamburg with a Doctorate in Microbiology and a minor in Astrophysics.
At an unknown point in time, possibly following his defection to the West and employment with UNITY, Dr. Schenker was awarded a certificate of Excellence in Scientific Research and Discovery by Jim's School of Science.

- Dr. Schenker took a picture of his wife when he left East Germany. This photo appears on his desk at UNITY Headquarters in the second game.
- He has a knack of losing his glasses and sometimes forgets to speak English instead of his native German.
- Dr. Schenker is voiced by Jeff Steitzer who also voiced Baron Dumas in the first game as well as the H.A.R.M. Bots and the Super Computer in the second game.
