A Freighter is a type of cargo ship that hauls freight from one seaport to another. It is much larger than a Boat.
While Cate Archer was sneaking through H.A.R.M. Facility 4529 in Morocco, she overheard two thugs observing a Freighter just off the coast. One thug thought it was heading for Tangier. They didn't want to bother Mr. Volkov.
- Unbeknownst to them, this was the freighter Abigaille that Archer and Bruno Lawrie was attempting to reach.
West German customs officials noticed some several suspicious looking cargo containers onboard a Finnish Freighter in Hamburg. Instead of seizing the contraband outright, they notified UNITY officials so that they could trace the cargo. This was the Freighter Lorelei and it was the assignment of Archer and Tom Goodman to discover what was on it. Archer was able to sneak on board, but the Freighter was sunk by Explosives.
Archer had been able to place a Beacon on the Lorelei's Radio before departing. This allowed her to SCUBA Dive down to the exact location so she could retrieve the remaining Intelligence items left behind.
