France, officially the French Republic (French: République française) is a country in Europe. West Germany, Switzerland and Italy are located on the eastern border. Spain to the south and the English Channel is on the west. The tiny country of Monaco is on the southern coast of France.

The Grey Servant was once a French Maid serving at Cramble Castle in Scotland before she was killed by Lady Cramble.
France has an embassy in Santiago, Chile. In 1967 a UNITY agent had broken into this embassy, only to be attacked and killed by Dmitrij Volkov.
Bruno Lawrie had just returned from a mission in France while Volkov was killing various UNITY agents. He met an exotic temptress, but couldn't remember her name.
At the English chemical plant owned by Dumas Industrial Enterprises, Cate Archer can hop on a train. If you stay on this train it will eventually "take you" to Paris, France; Warsaw, Poland; Nairobi, Kenya and Bangkok, Thailand before returning to the plant.
While infiltrating the gondola facilities that lead the the Chateau Dumas, Cate Archer overheard two H.A.R.M. thugs talking about an incident that just happened in France. One of the thugs mentioned that hearing about the incident made him think about a career change. "I mean what would happen to my wife and little girl if I got gunned down by some superspy?"
- With the timing, the incident may have involved agent Bruno Lawrie who had just returned from France at the beginning of the game.
After the UNITY Intercept Team rescued General Morgan Hawkins from Pierre the Mime King's Mimes, Hawkins stated that France should be invaded just to rid the world of mimes.
