The CIA (formally known as the Central Intelligence Agency) is the foreign intelligence services for the United States. This agency clashed with the KGB during the Cold War of the 1950's and 60's. The predecessor to this organization was the Office of Strategic Services.
While Cate Archer was attempting to escape a Soviet Army base located in Siberia she overhear two H.A.R.M. thugs talking about the spy on the loose. One of them asked if the spy was a member of the CIA.
