A Bear Trap.
A Bear Trap is a metal device designed to ensnare the foot of a person or creature (usually a bear, hence the name) that stepped on the device. While the victim is trapped, they would spend time to remove themselves from the trap instead of attacking or pursuing.
- A trapped opponent was an easy target to kill with another weapon.
Cate Archer first found a Bear Trap at the Datcha in Siberia. She also found other Bear Traps in other locations in the Soviet Army base that she was infiltrating. Archer could plant this device to trap an unwary opponent.
Members of the UNITY Intercept Team also found Bear Traps at the H.A.R.M. Antarctica Base that they were sent to destroy.
